Recognising that getting started and tracking progress to compliance is difficult and complex, we are delighted to announce that Dufrain, Gordon Dadds Financial Markets and New Leaf Advisory are working together to provide a comprehensive end to end approach to assist firms in navigating through GDPR and achieving compliance.
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) is a Regulation by which the European Commission intends to strengthen and unify data protection for individuals within the European Union (EU). It also addresses export of personal data outside the EU. The Commission’s primary objectives of the GDPR are to give citizens back the control of their personal data and to simplify the regulatory environment for international business by unifying the regulation within the EU. When the GDPR takes effect it will replace the data protection directive (officially Directive 95/46/EC) from 1995. The regulation was adopted on 27th April, 2016 and enters into application on 25th May, 2018.
In light of Brexit, the application, enforcement and extent of the GDPR within the UK is uncertain. Our leading barristers and QCs can provide clarity and assist organisations in navigating a course through a significantly complicated area of compliance.
New Leaf Advisory have long-standing relationships with leading QCs practising in this field. We bring this expertise to bear in advising clients, from providing an introductory explanation of pending changes through to a turnkey business solution, offering advice, protocol changes, client management and effective regulatory compliance.
Many of our clients find a useful starting point to be a tailored presentation, where our barristers set-out what is happening and how these changes may affect their organisation.
If you feel that such an introduction might be of interest to your business, then please do not hesitate to contact us for further information.
